Eduard Spertsyan Crowned 2025 Footballer of the Year in Armenia

Eduard Spertsyan has solidified his status as one of Armenia’s top footballers, being awarded the 2025 Footballer of the Year by the Football Federation of Armenia after an impressive season.

The 25-year-old midfielder, known for his playmaking skills, received the accolade with a total of 17 votes. In the past year, Spertsyan showcased his talent on the international stage, scoring five goals for the Armenian national team.

In addition to his individual success, he played a crucial role in leading FC Krasnodar to victory in the Russian Premier League (RPL) during the 2025 season. Spertsyan’s contributions have not only highlighted his abilities but also elevated the profile of Armenian football.

This recent award marks a significant milestone, as Spertsyan becomes the fifth player in the history of the Armenian men’s national team to secure multiple Footballer of the Year titles, having previously won the honor in 2022.
