Denver Broncos at Cleveland Browns (-1.5), 8:20 PM
Andre’s Pick: Browns. The Browns have the third-best yards per play differential in the NFL, but they’ll be missing Baker Mayfield, Kareem Hunt and Nick Chubb. That said, the Browns don’t need them to win. THey allow the third-fewest yards per carry so expect Teddy Bridgewater to have a heavy workload — which might not be good news on the road in a hostile environment.

New York Jets at New England Patriots (-6.5), 1:00 PM
Andre’s Pick: Patriots. Bill Belichick goes up against another rookie quarterback, who will likely have a heavy workload. The Patriots allow the sixth-fewest yards per carry so expect the Pats to shut down the run and force Zach Wilson to make plays.
Washington Football Team at Green Bay Packers (-7.5), 1:00 PM
Andre’s Pick: Packers. The Packers take care of business at home against a Washington team that allows six yards per play and nearly eight yards per pass attempt. The Packers also have an elite pass defense, allowing the fourth-fewest yards per pass attempt.
Cincinnati Bengals at Baltimore Ravens (-6.5), 1:00 PM
Andre’s Pick: Bengals. The Bengals allow the second-fewest yards per play and have the fourth-best yards per play differential. This is a balanced team. Their only two losses came by three points. They also have the second-best expected points contributed by a rush defense — a great recipe for success against the Ravens explosive running attack.
Kansas City Chiefs (-5) at Tennessee Titans, 1:00 PM
Andre’s Pick: Titans. Both defenses are awful, so I’ll take the home underdog. The Chiefs’ rush defense has been atrocious all season and they’ll have a very hard time stopping Derrick Henry. Henry will eat up time and keep Patrick Mahomes on the bench.
Carolina Panthers (-2.5) at New York Giants, 1:00 PM
Andre’s Pick: Panthers. Carolina has come back down to earth after their 3-0 start, but all three losses have been by one possession. They’ll have an easier time against an injury-ridden Giants team. Despite the losses, the Panthers are still a top-10 defense and that’s all that really matters against trash opponents.
Atlanta Falcons (-2.5) at Miami Dolphins , 1:00 PM
Andre’s Pick: Dolphins. Here’s what we know: Miami stinks against good teams (blow out losses to Buffalo and Tampa Bay) and they’re competitive against mediocre ones. I’ll take the points here. Atlanta has one of the worst yards-per play differentials.
Detroit Lions at Los Angeles Rams (-15.5), 4:05 PM
Andre’s Pick: Rams. Only one stat matters. Matthew Stafford averages the most yards per pass attempt and the Lions allow the most.
Philadelphia Eagles at Las Vegas Raiders (-3), 4:05 PM
Andre’s Pick: Raiders. The Eagles are a very poorly coached team as evidenced by the fact that they don’t run the ball despite averaging the third-most yards per carry in the NFL. They will not succeed in the passing game against the Raiders, who have allowed the second-fewest yards per pass attempt.
Chicago Bears at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-12), 4:25 PM
Andre’s Pick: Bucs. The Bears have the fourth worst yards per play differential and they’re going to have to rely on Justin Fields a lot because Tampa’s rush defense is one of the worst in the NFL. Tampa will have an easy time containing Chicago.
Houston Texans at Arizona Cardinals (-17.5), 4:25 PM
Andre’s Pick: Cardinals. J.J. Watt revenge game! The Texans have the third-worst yards per play differential. It’s going to be difficult to see them stopping Arizona’s explosive offensive attack.
Indianapolis Colts at San Francisco 49ers (-4.5), 8:20 PM
Andre’s Pick: Colts. That’s a lot of points, between two evenly matched teams.

New Orleans Saints (-4) at Seattle Seahawks, 8:15 PM
Andre’s Pick: Saints. The Saints have the best rush defense in football, which means Geno Smith is going to have to make a lot of plays on his own. Geno Smith is a poor man’s Jameis Winston.
It’s the most wonderful time of the year in American sports with the MLB postseason beginning, the NHL and NBA seasons kicking off and the NFL season in full swing.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-6.5) at Philadelphia Eagles, 8:20 PM
Andre’s Pick: Bucs. The Eagles average 5.2 yards per carry, but they’re facing one of the most lethal rush defenses in the league. I don’t expect Philadelphia to establish any running attack and they’ll be overly reliant on Jalen Hurts (who also loves to run the ball). Tampa Bay just has too many threats and you have to think Tom Brady will have revenge on his mind from the Super Bowl he lost to Philly.

Miami Dolphins vs. Jacksonville Jaguars (+3), 9:30 AM (London)
Andre’s Pick: Jaguars. Miami has the league’s worst yards per play differential. Jacksonville has a strong run defense and they’ll be able to mitigate Miami’s running attack and force Jacoby Brissett to make plays. Brissett is dead last in yards per pass attempt this season.
Kansas City Chiefs (-6.5) at Washington Football Team, 1:00 PM
Andre’s Pick: Washington. Only one team in the NFL allows more than seven yards per play — the Kansas City Chiefs. Their defense stinks and they’ve had a terrible time covering lately. They’re just 2-13-1 against the spread in their last 16 games.
Los Angeles Rams (-9) at New York Giants, 1:00 PM
Andre’s Pick: Rams. The Giants are banged up and face an explosive Rams team that leads the league in yards per play and is third in yards per play differential. It’ll be tough for the Giants to keep up with L.A. without Saquon Barkley in the lineup.
Green Bay Packers (-6) at Chicago Bears, 1:00 PM
Andre’s Pick: Packers. The Packers have covered four straight against Chicago. Justin Fields averages 6.4 yards per pass attempt — second-worst mark in the league. Chicago also owns the third-worst yards per play differential in the NFL.
Los Angeles Chargers at Baltimore Ravens (-2.5), 1:00 PM
Andre’s Pick: Ravens. The Chargers allow the most yards per carry. Despite allowing 230 rushing yards to the Browns last week, they still won. That’s not sustainable especially when you consider the Browns dominated time of possession. The Ravens are great at running the ball, and they’ll expose the Chargers’ run defense.
Cincinnati Bengals (-3.5) at Detroit Lions, 1:00 PM
Andre’s Pick Bengals. The Lions allow 10 passing yards per attempt. Joe Burrow is fifth in yards per pass attempt and he and his elite receivers are developing great chemistry. Expect a few explosive touchdowns in this one.
Houston Texans at Indianapolis Colts (-10), 1:00 PM
Andre’s Pick: Texans. Houston is bad, but they’ve played in some close games this year. The Colts aren’t that much better than the Texans to win by double-digits.
Minnesota Vikings at Carolina Panthers (-2.5), 1:00 PM
Andre’s Pick: Panthers. I still believe in Carolina and its defense. The Panthers are ninth in yards per play differential and allow the second fewest yards per play. Dalvin Cook, Justin Jefferson and Adam Thielen were all on the Vikings’ injury report this week so they might not be completely healthy for this one.
Arizona Cardinals at Cleveland Browns (-3), 4:05 PM
Andre’s Pick: Browns. Nick Chubb, but Kareem Hunt is active and ready to go against the Cardinals, who allow the second-most yards per carry. That’s a good way to keep the ball away from Kyler Murray’s hands. Cleveland also has the second-best yards per play differential in the NFL.
Dallas Cowboys (-3.5) at New England Patriots, 4:25 PM
Andre’s Pick: Cowboys. Dallas hasn’t won at New England since 1987. That’ll change this week. New England has given the ball away nine times this year — third-most in the NFL. Dallas leads the league in interceptions. They’re going up against a rookie QB. Expect Dallas to force some key turnovers and win.
Las Vegas Raiders at Denver Broncos (-4.5), 4:25 PM
Andre’s Pick: Broncos. Aside from all the off field issues the Raiders are going through, they’ll have their hands full against a Denver team that ranks fifth in yards per play differential. The Broncos are also a much more lethal team at home.
Seattle Seahawks at Pittsburgh Steelers (-5.5), 8:20 PM
Andre’s Pick: Steelers. The Steelers showed their defense is still a force to be reckoned with last week. Seattle has always been a one-man show with Russell Wilson. He’s gone now. Everyone will see just how valuable Wilson is to the Seahawks organization.

Buffalo Bills (-5.5) at Tennessee Titans, 8:15 PM
Andre’s Pick: Bills. Shocked the spread is only 5.5. Bills have hte best yards per play differential in the NFL. The Titans can’t stop a nosebleed and have the fourth-worst yards per play differential.
We’re finally at the stage of the NFL season where we can clearly tell who is good and who is bad. We have a larger sample size of stats which might make picking games against the spread a little bit easier. Read more
