During an appearance on the PBD Podcast, Tsarukyan shared insights into his hockey career, which spanned from the age of 10 to 17. It was in this formative period that a coach recognized his talent, telling Tsarukyan that he possessed ‘something special.’
Despite his natural ability and passion for the sport, Tsarukyan expressed some regret over not pursuing hockey in more competitive environments. He noted, “I was a kid; I didn’t know what I should do. If I was smart, I would have told my dad to send me to the U.S. or to Canada to play.” His reflections highlight the crossroads of his life, where dreams of NHL stardom ultimately gave way to his current success as a mixed martial artist.
