James Kaprielian Shines for Diablos Rojos in Dominant Victory
James Kaprielian delivered an impressive performance for the Diablos Rojos del México, leading his team to a commanding 10-1 victory over the Piratas de Campeche with a standout outing on Tuesday night.
The Armenian-American right-hander showcased his skills in what has been his strongest start of the Liga Mexicana de Beisbol (LMB) season. Kaprielian pitched five innings, allowing only one run while striking out seven batters and issuing no walks. His effective control limited the Piratas to just three hits, with the lone run coming from a solo home run in the second inning.
This victory improves Kaprielian’s record to 1-0 in Mexico, with a respectable 3.72 ERA after two starts. Over a total of 9.2 innings, he has accumulated nine strikeouts, surrendered only two walks, and holds a WHIP of 1.03.
The former first-round pick, drafted by both the New York Yankees and the Oakland Athletics, joined the Diablos Rojos earlier this month as he continues to make strides in his professional career in Mexico City.
