Berj Najarian Departs from Boston College after Two Seasons as Chief of Staff

Berj Najarian will not return as chief of staff for Boston College football, marking the end of his tenure with the program following a challenging 2-10 season.

Najarian’s exit was confirmed by Kevin Stone of New England Football Journal, citing the broader changes taking place within the Boston College football program. He joined Boston College two years ago after a long and successful career with the New England Patriots, where he spent 24 years under the guidance of head coach Bill Belichick. During his time with the Patriots, he contributed to the team’s success, including six Super Bowl victories.

Najarian was initially brought to the Eagles by former Patriots offensive coordinator Bill O’Brien, reflecting the close ties between the two programs. His departure indicates a significant shift for Boston College as it looks to rejuvenate a struggling football program.

Speculation remains regarding Najarian’s next steps, particularly his potential connection with Bill Belichick, who may be looking to bring him onto his staff in North Carolina.
