Eduard Spertsyan, the Armenian national team captain, is poised to make a significant move to Saudi Arabia’s Al Ahli following a confirmed $25 million deal with FC Krasnodar, marking a new chapter in his football career.

In a major development for Armenian football, Eduard Spertsyan is on the verge of joining Al Ahli in the Saudi Pro League. The transfer deal, reported by renowned football journalist Fabrizio Romano, is valued at $25 million. Medical tests have reportedly been arranged, indicating that the transfer is nearing completion.

Spertsyan, who has been a standout player for FC Krasnodar, recorded an impressive tally of 13 goals and 16 assists in the Russian Premier League during the 2025/26 season. His performance has solidified his status as one of Armenia’s top football talents.

The move to Al Ahli comes after Spertsyan had been the subject of various transfer speculations, including interest from European clubs. However, Romano confirmed that no negotiations took place with Como, allowing Al Ahli to secure his services without competition.

Once the medical examinations and formalities are finalized, Spertsyan will join a club with a rich history, including nine Saudi Professional League titles and multiple international accolades, further elevating his career on an international stage.

With this transfer, Spertsyan is set to make his mark in one of the Middle East’s leading football leagues, bringing his talents to Jeddah.
