Arman Tsarukyan Issues Apology Following Controversial Livestream Comments
In a recent livestream, UFC fighter Arman Tsarukyan issued an apology for comments made that offended Namo Fazil and members of the Kurdish community, asserting that he never intended to cause disrespect.
Arman Tsarukyan, a prominent figure in the MMA community, faced backlash after remarks made during a livestream with Nina Drama. The comments were interpreted as offensive by Namo Fazil and many in the Kurdish community. In response, Tsarukyan clarified that his intention was never to disrespect anyone, explaining that his proficiency in English, which is not his first language, may have led to misunderstandings.
“I never meant to disrespect anybody,” Tsarukyan shared on a subsequent livestream with N3on. He emphasized that any offense taken was unwarranted and expressed his love for all communities involved.
The timing of the apology coincided with Fazil’s victory over Jake Babian at MVP MMA 1, where he notably called out Tsarukyan during his post-fight interview. Tsarukyan attended the event to support fellow fighter David Mgoyan but confronted Fazil outside the Hexagon later that evening. The confrontation was brief, as security intervened to separate the two.
Fazil later mentioned that he had not been aware of Tsarukyan’s apology prior to their encounter but expressed respect for the gesture.
