Arman Tsarukyan Has Sights Set On Top Lightweight Contenders After Signature Win
Arman Tsarukyan made a major statement on Saturday night in Las Vegas after his devastating knockout win over Christos Giagos earned him a performance of the night bonus.
Now, he has his sights set on bigger and better opponents.
Following his victory, the No. 14-ranked UFC lightweight contender Tsarukyan called out No. 9 Dan Hooker, who he has gotten into several social media spats with on Twitter.
Hooker is scheduled to fight next week at UFC 266 against Nasrat Haqparest. If he loses, Tsarukyan would like to explore other top-10 options in the lightweight division, most notably former champion Tony Ferguson.
“He has a lot of experience and I think he’s the oldest guy in top 15 and I’m youngest guy in top 15,” Tsarukyan said in his post-fight press conference. “I’d like to see this match and I think it’ll be a good fight.”
