Akron Linebacker Bubba Arslanian Wins MAC Player Of The Week Honors
Bubba Arslanian is off to a strong start with the Akron Zips.
The redshirt junior linebacker recorded 17 tackles in Akron’s 45-24 loss on Saturday against Temple and he was rewarded handsomely in the losing effort.
Arslanian was recognized for his performance by the Mid-American Conference and won East Division Co-Defensive Player of the Week honors. His 17 tackles are the most by any player in the NCAA this season and are two shy of his career-high last season against Bowling Green.
Arslanian ranks second in the NCAA with 12.5 tackles per game. Akron returns to action this Saturday when they take on Bryant at home.
