FIFA World Cup Qualification: Armenia Suffers Setback Against Germany

The Armenian national football team suffered its biggest setback of the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualification tournament on Sunday.

Germany defeated Armenia, 6-0, in Stuttgart and took over first place in Group J.

The onslaught started early as Serge Gnabry scored twice in the first 15 minutes of the match. Marco Reus, Timo Werner, Jonas Hofmann and Karim Adeyami also scored to give Germany its shutout victory.

With the loss, Armenia falls into second place in Group J and will play Liechtenstein in Yerevan on Wednesday.
