Adam Krikorian Leads Team USA To Gold Medal Match In Olympic Women’s Water Polo

Adam Krikorian and Team USA are one step away from a water polo three-peat.

The Americans edged the athletes representing the Russian Olympic Committee, 15-11, in the semifinal of the women’s water polo tournament at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo.

Madeline Musselman scored five goals as Team USA will go for their third straight Olympic gold under head coach Krikorian. Since Krikorian took over in 2009, the Americans have won gold in 19 FINA tournaments, including four world championships.

The gold medal game will take place on August 7 against the winner of the semifinal between Spain and Hungary. Hungary was the lone team to defeat the United States in pool play.
