Olympic Women’s Water Polo: Adam Krikorian Leads Team USA To Semifinals After Commanding Win Over Canada

It’s not just the Armenians on the field that are performing well in this year’s Olympics.

USA women’s water polo head coach Adam Krikorian led his squad to a dominating 16-5 victory over Canada in the women’s water polo quarterfinals to advance to the semifinals.

Krikorian, who is coaching with a heavy heart following the death of his father earlier this year, is seeking to lead the Americans to their third straight gold medal. Krikorian has led USA water polo to 19 gold medals in 22 international tournaments since he took over the team in 2009.

The Americans will face either Australia or the Russian Olympic Committee on August 5.
