Olympic Men’s Boxing: Koryun Soghomonyan’s Quest For Gold Stopped By Great Britain’s Galal Yafai

Koryun Soghomonyan’s quest for Olympic glory came to a quick halt on Monday in Tokyo.

The Armenian boxer was knocked out by Great Britain’s Galal Yafai in the third round of their Round of 32 bout in the men’s flyweight tournament at the 2020 Summer Olympics.

Soghomonyan was one of three boxers representing Armenia at the Olympic games. Hovhannes Bachkov has already won his Round of 32 match in the lightweight bracket and Arman Darchinyan’s first bout in the middleweight division is on July 29.
