Will Zach Bogosian Suit Up For Armenia After NHL Career?
Will Zach Bogosian sport an Armenia jersey after he retires from the NHL? Armenia Hockey League president Petr Lebedev says it’s a possibility.
In a podcast interview, Lebedev was asked about the possibility that the former No. 3 overall pick will play for the Armenian national hockey team in the future.
“Yes, I think if Zach finished his career in Minnesota tomorrow and called the Armenian Ice Hockey Federation and say, ‘I’m ready to play or become a coach’, then in 20 months he can play for the national 2027 wherever we play and no matter what division we are playing in,” Lebedev said.
Bogosian just completed his 17th season in the NHL and scored four goals and added 12 assists for the Minnesota Wild. He helped lead the squad to the playoffs where they were eliminated by the Vegas Golden Knights in the first round.
The 35-year-old is under contract for next season and has no indication that he wants to retire.
