In the aftermath of Armenia’s 3-2 loss to Montenegro, head coach Yeghishe Melikyan remains optimistic about his team’s future, highlighting resilience and player potential despite the defeat.

Yeghishe Melikyan, the head coach of the Armenian national football team, expressed unwavering confidence in his squad’s potential despite a disappointing 3-2 loss to Montenegro on Monday. In his post-match remarks, Melikyan addressed the challenges faced during the game, including the absence of key players and the limited options available for substitutions. He emphasized his belief in the abilities of the players who took the field.

Armenia displayed resilience by equalizing twice after falling behind, but ultimately succumbed to a late goal in the 89th minute. This loss came on the heels of a solid 2-0 victory against Latvia in their Nations League opener. Following these matches, Armenia finds itself in a competitive position, sitting second in League C Group 2 with three points.

Looking ahead, the team is set to visit Cyprus on Friday, followed by a rematch against Montenegro on October 5. Melikyan remains optimistic about the upcoming fixtures and the potential for his team to improve as they navigate the tournament.
