However, they faced a setback in their latest match against Montenegro, where they lost 3-2 in a closely contested game played in Yerevan on Monday.
In this match, Armenia’s Artur Serobyan and Eduard Spertsyan each managed to score an equalizer, demonstrating resilience. Unfortunately, Montenegro’s Aleksa Latković scored the decisive goal in the 89th minute, sealing the win for his team. As a result, Montenegro leads the group standings with six points, three points ahead of Armenia. Both Cyprus and Latvia are tied with one point each in this competitive group.
Looking ahead, Armenia is set to face Cyprus on Friday, October 2, and will later rematch Montenegro on October 5. The winner of this group will earn promotion to League B, while the runner-up will enter a playoff for potential promotion.
