Daniel Kirakosyan is set to take his basketball career to new heights in the United States after signing with Georgetown College in Kentucky. The 21-year-old guard, who has represented the Armenian national team, joins one of the most prestigious programs in NAIA basketball, known for its competitive edge and history of success.
In the previous year, Kirakosyan showcased his talent at the 2025 FIBA U20 EuroBasket Division B, where he averaged 15.7 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 3.1 assists. He gained nationwide attention for achieving a remarkable 84-point triple-double in Armenia’s ProBasket A-League, a performance that included 14 rebounds and 10 assists.
His contributions extend to Armenia’s senior national team, where he averaged 11.3 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 3.3 assists during the recent FIBA EuroBasket 2029 pre-qualifying campaign, highlighted by a standout 21-point game against Norway.
Kirakosyan will now be part of a Georgetown College program that has claimed three NAIA national championships and recently reached the Round of 16 in the national tournament, solidifying its reputation as a powerhouse in collegiate basketball.
