Arman Tsarukyan will join flyweight champion Joshua Van, top contender Alexandre Pantoja and Mauricio Ruffy at the UFC 331 press conference on Friday, Aug. 14, at 5 p.m. ET at Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia.
Tsarukyan, the UFC’s No. 2-ranked lightweight, is scheduled to appear before media and fans at the Philadelphia event, which is free and open to the public. He will be joined on stage by flyweight champion Joshua Van, No. 1 flyweight contender Alexandre Pantoja and No. 7-ranked lightweight Mauricio Ruffy.
The press conference precedes UFC 331, where Tsarukyan and Ruffy are booked to meet in a five-round lightweight co-main event on Sept. 19 in Los Angeles. The five-round distance is unusual for a non-title bout and underlines the significance of the matchup within the lightweight division, pairing one of the division’s highest-ranked contenders with a rising opponent.
Van and Pantoja are also expected to address their roles on the card during the appearance. Armenian Sports News will be on site in Philadelphia to cover Tsarukyan’s appearance and provide reporting from the press conference.
