Arman Tsarukyan and Dillon Danis will meet for the Middleweight Crossover Championship in the main event of RAF 14 on October 3 at Fontainebleau Las Vegas.
The grappling bout pairs two competitors with Armenian heritage. Tsarukyan, the UFC’s No. 1-ranked lightweight contender, faces a quick turnaround if all goes to plan: he is scheduled to return to the Octagon against Mauricio Ruffy at UFC 331 on September 19, just two weeks before shifting gears back to wrestling for RAF 14. Danis, a Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt, brings years of experience at the highest levels of submission grappling. He is also of Armenian descent through his mother and has publicly embraced that side of his heritage, including representing the Armenian flag at RAF 07 earlier this year. The matchup sets up a clear stylistic contrast, with Tsarukyan’s high-level wrestling tested against Danis’ decorated jiu-jitsu background, and both men carrying Armenian roots into the cage. For Tsarukyan, the schedule is straightforward: Ruffy first on September 19, then Danis on October 3.
