The UFC has officially booked Arman Tsarukyan against Mauricio Ruffy in a five-round lightweight co-main event at UFC 331 on September 19 at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
The promotion has confirmed Tsarukyan’s next assignment after earlier reports had pointed to a different matchup. The lightweight bout is scheduled for five rounds and will serve as the co-main event of UFC 331 on September 19 at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
Tsarukyan enters the fight as the No. 2-ranked lightweight, while Ruffy arrives as the surging No. 7-ranked contender. The pairing of the division’s second-ranked fighter and one of its fastest-rising names makes the matchup one of the biggest lightweight fights of the year.
For Tsarukyan, the assignment offers another opportunity to reinforce his standing near the top of the division. For Ruffy, it represents a significant step up in competition and a chance to move into the upper tier of the 155-pound rankings with a win.
