Narek Mkrtchyan Shines with Silver at U-20 World Weightlifting Championships

Armenia’s weightlifting prowess continues to impress on the international stage, as Narek Mkrtchyan secured a silver medal at the U-20 World Weightlifting Championships held in Egypt last weekend.

Narek Mkrtchyan, a talented young weightlifter from Armenia, demonstrated exceptional skill at the U-20 World Weightlifting Championships in Egypt, clinching the silver medal in the men’s 79 kg category. Competing against formidable athletes, Mkrtchyan finished just behind Egypt’s Abdelrahman Hussein Hamouda, who took home the gold.

In addition to his overall silver medal, Mkrtchyan also showcased his strength in the clean and jerk, earning a small bronze medal in that event.
