Koko Koustanian’s Impressive Journey From War-Torn Syria To Division 1 Football
University of Northern Colorado offensive lineman Koko Kostanian had never seen a game of Amercan football eight years ago when he was a teenager in Syria.
But due to the breakout of war, his family was forced to flee to America, where he was introduced to the game while attending high school.
The Armenian excelled in the sport and earned a scholarship to play at Northern Colorado. He spoke to Armenian Sports News’ Andre Khatchaturian about his unexpected journey.
