Las Vegas Raiders at Cincinnati Bengals (-5), 4:30 PM

Andre’s Pick: Raiders. The analytics love Vegas. They had the 8th best yards per play differential in the NFL this season. The Raiders also ranked fourth in QB hits while the Bengals allowed the third-most sacks in the league. Sure, the Bengals crushed the Raiders in their regular season meeting, but Burrow was sacked three times and only threw for 148 yards and JaMarr Chase only had three catches for 32 yards. The Raiders’ pass defense is for real (tied for 5th) and should be able to contain the Bengals’ high-octane offense in this rematch.

New England Patriots at Buffalo Bills (-4.5), 8:15 PM

Andre’s Pick: Patriots. It will be frigid and that favors the Bills. The Bills have the better rushing attack, averaging 4.8 yards per carry. There’s also no precipitation so that shouldn’t impact Josh Allen’s game. Both of these squads have elite pass defenses, I just think Buffalo — being at home and with a better rushing attack — will come through.

Philadelphia Eagles at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-8), 1:00 PM

Andre’s Pick: Bucs. The Eagles were second-to-last in sacks and the Bucs allowed the fewest sacks. Tom Brady will have plenty of time to throw in this game and that doesn’t bode well for the Eagles.

San Francisco 49ers at Dallas Cowboys (-3), 4:25 PM

Andre’s Pick: 49ers. San Francisco ranks second in yards per play differential and Dallas is 9th. The 49ers will take advantage of the Cowboys’ shaky run defense and keep the ball out of Dak Prescott’s hands.

Pittsburgh Steelers at Kansas City Chiefs (-12.5), 8:15 PM

Andre’s Pick: Steelers. The Steelers have the worst yards per play differential among all playoff teams, but the Chiefs are third-worst. The Chiefs also allowed the second-most yards per carry. The Steelers have a recipe to win. Feed Najee Harris and keep the ball away from Patrick Mahomes. If they do that, they will for sure cover and maybe even come away with the upset.

Monday, January 18, 2022

Arizona Cardinals at Los Angeles Rams (-4), 8:15 PM

Andre’s Pick: Rams. The Rams are at home, they have the Cardinals number and they are one of the top teams in yards per play differential.
