Tina Garabedian, Simon Proulx-Senecal Qualify For Winter Olympics In Ice Dancing
Following a tumultuous year filled with ups and downs, Tina Garabedian and Simon Proulx-Senecal are heading to the 2022 Winter Olympics.
The ice dancing pair finished fourth in the 2021 CS Nebelhorn competition earlier this week in Germany, enough to qualify for the Beijing Olympics.
The qualification didn’t come without any obstacles. Garabedian and Proulx-Senecal faced a major hurdle last spring when they were forced to withdraw from the 2021 World Figure Skating Championships (another Olympic qualification event) because of an erroneous and false COVID test which left the duo devastated.
But Garabedian and Proulx-Senecal came through in their last chance to qualify with a score of 173.03.
The ice dancing competition begins on February 4, 2022 in Beijing.
