Olympic Women’s Swimming: Varsenik Manucharyan Fails To Advance In Olympic Debut

Varsenik Manucharyan failed to qualify to the semifinals of the women’s 100-meter freestyle event after finishing 45th out of 51 swimmers in the qualifying heats.

Manucharyan completed the 100-meter race in 59.18 seconds — nearly six seconds shy of the top-16 cutoff for the semifinals.

The 17-year-old was the youngest Olympian in Armenia’s delegation.
