Elmira Karapetyan’s shot at a medal has come to an end.
The Armenian shooter failed to qualify to the final round of the women’s 10 m air pistol event.
She had a score of 573 and finished 18th in the competition — four points shy of the top-8 cutoff.
Jiang Ranxin of China set an Olympic and world record in the event with the highest score of 587.
