Olympic men’s Boxing: Hovhannes Bachkov dominates round of 32 match, to face azeri in next bout

Hovhannes Bachkov means business in this year’s Olympics.

The Armenian lightweight boxer showed off a dominant performance in his Round of 32 bout against Alston Ryan of Antigua and Barbuda to advance to the Round of 16 in Tokyo.

Bachkov won by a score of 5-0, meaning he got points from each and every judge in the match. He will now fight Javid Chalabiyev of Azerbaijan in the next round.

Bachkov took part in the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro but he was eliminated in his first bout.
