Levon Aghasyan is a last-minute replacement in the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo for Armenia.

Aghasyan replaces Kristina Alvertsian, who was scheduled to participate in the women’s 100 m dash next week. Alvertsian did not make the trip to Tokyo.

Aghasyan will participate in the men’s triple jump competition. This is the 26-year-old’s second Olympics after he competed in the 2016 games in Rio de Janeiro. He did not qualify for the final round that year.
